Dear readers,
As the COVID situation made some tasks to be fulfilled rather impossible, the end of the SMAGRINET project has been extended until spring of 2022. We would like to thank CINEA and the EU Commission for making it all possible. We have had a strong start to our second half of 2021 and we plan on carrying this momentum until the end.
Almost 200 students have passed our Academic modules and with the lead by Olga Kyselova we are reaching universities outside the project in affiliated countries. Best of luck to them and you are able to read about TUD and their progress in Ukraine from their section.
Despite the hindering factor of COVID we were finally able to start our mobility programs by providing power industry experience positions for our enrolled students. Most of the students have been able to receive experience from companies abroad at key power industry sites and companies. This has been beneficial to all parties as there have taken place discussions on a possibility to provide extended positions for some of the interested participants. Again, this is something that has helped to validate the projects objectives and its progress
Our short-term programs are becoming more and more in demand as the awareness of the project is making progress. The Estonian re-educational program where SMAGRINET is a part of has given a very positive feedback and extended the co-operation with the projects program. EU power industry top companies have reached out to learn about the projects services.
We have learned that at an unprecedented time period in history where the web searches seemingly provide us almost an unlimited access to information, our experience is that almost nothing is able to beat the effectiveness of a concentrated and field focused educational package to get messages an knowledge across and settled in. The positive and valued feedback has showed that our participants have always gained something new regarding the energy transition or the power grid itself regardless of their vocational or educational background.
It has to be said that during this period of endless access to information, the portals have to be ’leveraged’ with in order to stand out from the rest of the information background. Our communication and dissemination workpackage lead partner LOBA with Catarina Pereira has performed magnificently to reach our targeted audienced and help them gain access to our platfrom.
SMAGRINET is on its last stint towards the finalisation of the project which actually marks the end of the beginning of our progress. This means that our educational programs will get even better and as we have worked out our processes - we are able to go even bigger, to reach more and more people. One thing is for certain: our services have been created, piloted and what is most important, they are ready for all levels of educational and work backgrounds. What is left for you is to try them out! You have nothing to lose but to gain. Only through education we are able to subside doubts and go smoothly forward with the energy transition and EUs environmental objectives regarding energy.
This project would not have taken place without the hard working people whose ideas and experiences have formulated the platform that we are able to provide and this newsletter before you is able to provide you a more in depth look on what we do in our daily lives.
